Scion's 2010 tC Release Series 6.0 offers tech features and sharp looks at a reasonable price

The first limited-production Scion tC sports coupe for 2010, the tC Release Series 6.0 (or tC RS 6.0), is available at dealer showrooms in March and provides a dynamic palette of bonus technological and cosmetic features at only a nominal increase to the bottom line.

The 2010 tC RS 6.0 comes exclusively in a bright and eye-catching “Speedway Blue” exterior color. The cobalt hue is complemented by a unique body side graphic that is completed in matte black and features the RS 6.0 logo.

Inside the RS 6.0’s cabin, the bright blue motif is carried over in the seats and steering wheel. Seats boast color-tuned surfaces – black fabric with blue highlights – and the leather-wrapped steering wheel comes finished in blue stitch work.

The beauty of the tC RS 6.0 extends beyond design elements, with select interior features that make for a decidedly connected motoring experience. Central to the improved ride is an Alpine Premium Audio system with Navigation.

The Alpine setup is flashed with a sound curve unique for the RS 6.0’s acoustics and includes a 4.3-inch touch screen, HD Radio, iPod/USB connectivity, 200 watts of output, and RCA output connections. A multifaceted navigation system is also bundled with the in-car entertainment, made up of flash-based global positioning satellite (GPS) navigation, turn-by-turn voice instructions, a 3D map view option, and a tC RS 6.0 as the route guidance icon.

Like Scion’s other RS vehicles, the tC Release Series 6.0 sports a sequentially numbered badge to reflect its distinctiveness. Only 1,100 units of the tC RS 6.0 will be built.

The tC RS 6.0 model will carry a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $18,620 with a manual transmission, and $19,420 with an automatic transmission. The delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee is not included in the MSRP.

For a better look at the tC RS 6.0, you can go to its micro-site at www.scion.com/RStC or the Release Series Facebook page at www.facebook.com/scionreleaseseries. The tC RS 6.0 will also get face time as a showcased vehicle in Scion’s booth at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show starting February 10, 2010.
