SCION x-PERIENCE 2008 ROLLS ON
Scion ride-n-drive tour ambles through the South, East Coast, Midwest and back home to the West Coast
The Scion x-PERIENCE traveling showcase is set to run September - November 2008 with a number of visits to cities across the United States. The unique hands-on tour gives attendees an opportunity to drive Scion's latest vehicles and rewards them for it, plus offers additional Scion-themed attractions in the interactive Scion x-PERIENCE Airstream trailer.
The main draw of Scion x-PERIENCE 2008 is the ride-n-drive, where licensed participants 21 years of age and older are encouraged to put Scion's xB, tC and xD through their paces on city streets. A Scion guru rides shotgun to field any questions, or if the guest so chooses, he/she can play passenger to the expert Scion driver.
For taking part, Scion x-PERIENCE goers are awarded a giveaway package that includes Scion tchotchkes and a gift certificate to the host venue, such as Amoeba Music in Hollywood.
While hanging out in the Scion Airstream x-PERIENCE home base, attendees can peruse the interactive accessory and fun lab. Inside the giant silver pill-shaped recreational vehicle is a very loose approximation of a Scion interior and an assortment of user kiosks. Digital displays permit visitors to build a virtual Scion, while headrest monitors air original video content. The Airstream also houses exhibits for various in-car entertainment and navigation, Optomize and TRD options that Scion offers for its vehicles.
Visitors to the Scion x-PERIENCE 2008 website can have a say in where the tour crew members visit at night, bringing a Scion and bearing Scion swag. In September, this will guide the crew's visits in Atlanta, Knoxville, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Boston, Brooklyn and Buffalo. x-PERIENCE 2008 wraps up in Seattle during November, and all events are rain or shine.
