Scion VIP, a series of events created to thank owners for joining the Scion family, recently completed another successful affair with its Scion Camp Out 2, a follow-up to last year's much loved original Camp Out. The Scion Camp Out 2 love-in was staged at Rye Playland Amusement Park over August 9-10 and provided attendees with plenty of fun, freebies, food and friendly vibes.
Some 200 regional Scion owners and their guests were invited to Camp Out 2 to take advantage of Playland's amusement park rides and attractions, which included coasters, a log flume, beach, boardwalk and swimming pool set in a beautiful shorefront location overlooking Long Island Sound. All owners and their guests received gratis Fun Passes good for Rye Playland rides and mini-golf course.
In addition to the amusements in Playland, the Scion Camp Out 2 agenda was packed with activities including an overnight campout, movie night and the Scion Camp Out lounge, which featured a DJ, games and refreshments. Invitees were also encouraged to participate via the Camp Out Car Show or Camp Out Olympics, a tribute to the Summer Games where contestants competed in team-oriented tug of war, dodge ball and obstacle course contests for bragging rights and prizes.
Scion kept everyone fed throughout the Camp Out 2 weekend, and gave away limited-edition Scion dome tents, four-piece Scion camping kits and event t-shirts to each registered Scion owner.
The next Scion VIP event is Scion Dream Nite at Six Flags New England (SFNE) in Agawam, Mass., set for Friday, September 12, where for one special night the park will be closed to general admission. In addition to having Six Flags exclusively open to 400 Scion owners and their guests, Scion Dream Nite will feature a judged afternoon car show in the SFNE preferred parking lot and catered dinner in the park at the Grove.
